E digita ip_server/status

e vedi se ce qualche pagina in particolare che ciuccia CPU, ovviamente ci consiglio anche di controllare eventuali access_log se ce qualche ip che flodda (possono essere anche crawler mal configurati tempo fa mi e' capitato una cosa in hosting con un crawler cinese)

Perche non provi ad esempio a cambiare webserver? Pero' non so se DA supporta esempio lighttpd ... perche e' probabile che la cpu non ce la faccia ad ottimizzare il carico, quindi o cerchi di ottimizzare il tuo sito lato codice php e cercando di adottare dei buoni sistemi di cache, o provi ad ottimizzare meglio la macchina tipo cambiando webserver dato che il problema e' li ...

Ovviamente fermo restano che il php sia ottimizzato lato codice a dovere

3- Affidarti ad una assistenza sistemistica

il webserver è una cosa, il server mail è un'altra..
apache gestisce le pagine web, exim la posta, puoi usare exim anche se usi nginx

ho installato nginx (e sto studiando un pò di linux), ma ora non riesco a collegare il dominio con il webserver, devo metto i name servers? uso solo 1 dominio per il server.

ho seguito diverse guide ma non mi hanno portato a nessuna soluzione

punta il record A al tuo indirizzo IP.
Se non sai gestire un nameserver usa il pannello (se disponibile) del provider che ti ha registrato il dominio.
