    Problema ai dischi?

    Non avendo ottenuto risposta su debianizzati.org ripropongo quì la mia richiesta nella speranza che qualche tecnico sappia individuare il problema.

    Buongiorno.
    Ieri notte mentre utilizzavo il pc ho sentito dei colpi ripetuti provenire dalla zona degli hard disk (samsung 40 e maxtor 160); suono simile ma più forte di quello che avverto solitamente qualche secondo prima dell'arresto.

    Ho tentato di spegnere la macchina ma è comparsa una serie di scritte come questa:
    [ 852.316027] hda: waiting for DMA
    Quindi ho forzato il riavvio.

    Secondo voi di cosa si tratta? I dischi stanno per cedere?

    Ciao,

    che cedano entrambi i dischi contemporaneamente è un fatto insolito, è più probabile che ci sia un problema al cavo o al controller.

    Se il problema persiste, smartctl (man per la sintassi) dovrebbe aiutarti a capirci qualcosa in più.

    Ma mentre hai sentito i rumori eravate in 3 intorno ad un tavolino a 3 zampe e hai pronunciato la fatidica frase: "se ci sei batti un colpo" ?

    A parte gli scherzi segui Shaz che ha fatto prima di me, in ogni caso dalla foto pare che sia il secondo disco che ha avuto un arresto cardiaco.

    Nell'incertezza stavo pensando di installare un unico disco da 200 GB, che ho su un box esterno.
    Ora che mi dici così prendo subito il cavo.
