Problema Con Vps Linux Aruba, problema di chmod e configurazione

Salve , ho preso un vps aruba linux , e sto riscontrando degli errori:

1)qualsiasi file che inserisco via ftp ha i permessi impostati a 644 e non a 755 come dovrebbe essere , e se li imposto a mano , quando qualsiasi applicazione web installata
cerca di scrivere altri file , ricevo un errore , in quanto i nuovi file hanno tutti il chmod a 644 anke se ho impostato nella cartella , internamente e esternamente , il chmod a 755 o 777.
2)cercando nel pannello vzcc o plesk dove mettere le mani non ho trovato nulla che facesse al caso mio.dove devo mettere le mani? questa sembra 1 opzione di default che pone i chmod a 644 forse per ragioni di sicurezza.

3)tentando di porre il vps allo stato iniziale , dato che cercando la soluzione per il problema sovraesposto , forse ho potuto fare danni (ma difficilmente) , sono andato nel vzcc (pannello di controllo ) e ho premuto reinstalla vps , ma ottengo la seguente lista di errori:

Non riesci a reinstallare la vps perchè a quanto pare non riesci a reperire:

almeno, questo è l'unico errore evidente.
prova ad aprire un ticket su aruba.

per i permessi dovresti dirci che demone ftp utilizzi, si tratta di configurare il giusto umask.

utilizzo filezilla e smartftp.....ke intendi x demone ftp?

vedo che usi proftpd.

apri /etc/proftpd.conf e aggiungi la linea:

Umask 011 122


e dovresti essere a posto.
tutti le nuove dir e file caricati dovrebbero avere i permessi in scrittura e lettura per tutti gli utenti.

strano, prova a dare un ls -la /etc/init.d/ e posta qua.
lo script di avvio dovrebbe essere in quella dir. magari si chiama proftp.
cmq vedo che hai centos, non l'ho mai usata quindi può essere che semplicemente non si avvia a quel modo.

se non lo trovi, con plesk dovresti essere cmq in grado di fermare e riavviare il server ftp.

non c'è proprio il servizio... usi plesk?

ah ma che stupido che sono, scusa, ho visto ora che è configurato per essere avviato da xinetd.
in questo caso ti basta chiudere tutte le sessioni ftp che hai aperte verso il tuo server e ricollegarti al server con filezilla e dovrebbe ricaricarti da solo la configurazione dato che xinetd avvia il servizio solo quando richiesto.

se proprio vuoi puoi dare prima

/etc/init.d/xinetd restart
