modificando manualmente i parametri che ci sono nel tuo my.cnf con quelli riportati (altrimenti non so se non ti si incasina DA se lo cambi del tutto ... non conosco il pannello)

Non parte + Mysqld O_o
Ma toglimi una curiosità, modificando il my.conf (quindi MySQL) adesso girerà un unico processo di mysqld che lavorerà in socket?
Con il vecchio my.cnf parte.. con questo no (credo che ha qualche problema con i socket)

cmq si è vero.. cè mysql.. ma sai ke ora ho spento apache e mysql sta sempre a girare e a consumare? il load è a 72 % e il sito è chiuso.. mi sembra che se ne va di testa mysqlè da na 15 minuti così con apache spento... mha
prova a riavviarlo e ad usare mytop
