dipende come tu/il tuo sistemista avete partizionato i dischi...

 

si tratta di fare roba tipo:

lo dai su una singola partizione anziché su un metadevice (nel mio caso md0 è composto da sda1+sdb1 in raid1)

Mi sembra la dimostrazione che sbb va bene e sdc è difettoso e credo di avere diritto alla sostituzione del disco.

Bel suggerimento, gli esiti sono stati strani :)

 

Al primo lancio del comando ho ottenuto, tra le altre cose, molte notifiche relative a iptables del tipo

Così ho azzerato le regole del firewall da webmin aprendo tutto, riavviato il server e, al riavvio, i test di cui sopra andavano bene per tutti due i dischi... almeno per qualche minuto.

 

Poi sono tornati i rallentamenti su /dev/sdc.

 

Se lancio il comando che mi hai suggerito adesso (con iptables disattivato) ottengo questo output:

Confermo quanto già detto, i WD green sono *osceni* quanto a performance.

Non che i blue siano tanto meglio...

Comunque, puoi postare il risultato di "fdisk -lu /dev/sdb" e "fdisk -lu /dev/sdc" ?

Ma /dev/sda che fine ha fatto?

un green e un blue.

 

al 99999% è colpa del green .. sono i peggiori dischi a livello di performance da usare all'interno di un server. (esperienza personale)

 

confermo anche io per esperienza diretta.
